Doda Designs was founded in 1997 as a result of my passion for experimenting with color, craft and design. For years, I created wearable silk and Tencel clothing by hand-dyeing and sewing them. I sold my work at Art Fairs throughout the United States. After two decades of working, I decided to take a break. However, I found myself soon dyeing wool for spinners and felters. The world of wool fiber is fascinating and vast. As I delved deeper into the various felting techniques, I began creating garments. I transitioned from sewing to felting. Felting allows me to create my own fabric, and to showcase a wide range of work - from a lightweight shawl to a thick winter coat or even everyday dryer balls. My garments are created by combining Needle Felting, Nuno Felting, and Wet Felting techniques.
In 2025 I started creating 2D Fine Art Needle Felted works. I am loving the process and plan to make primarly 2D Needle Felted work going forward.
